What’s the Point of Being Fuck Buddies, Anyway?

After the PBS showing of Scout’s Honor was over, I got a call from Beauyn, who watched it with friends in Rehoboth Beach. I didn’t mention I was with Raymond, for which Raymond later reamed me. I’m a little perturbed by that, because it seems to me that the whole point of being fuck buddies is that we’re not supposed to have claims on each other. And even if we were boyfriends, my relationship with Beauyn is just friendship, no sex involved, so Raymond’s patent jealousy is totally misplaced.

Well, not totally. He does have a point about me failing to acknowledge him and his importance in my life. But he’s so high maintenance and difficult to satisfy, it’s hard to know what would satisfy him.
