Scout’s Honor Airs
Scout’s Honor finally aired on PBS Wednesday night. Naturally there was a lot of buzz in the press; I did a few interviews and radio talk shows. The New York Times, in its review, contrasted twenty-year-old self with the recent interview footage, and noted that “Curran now… is less trim and more rueful.” Thanks a heap.
But actually, when the moment arrived, I was sitting with Raymond in his studio apartment, flipping back and forth between the PBS premier, and episode 3 of Gay Riviera. After all, I’ve seen Scout’s Honor more than a dozen times, so it just didn’t have the same thrill watching it with one other person that it does with a big audience. Still, it was great. Now life will gradually go back to normal, which is also great.
