Didn&#8217;t turn out that way though.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday night, I went to Omega, and ran into a guy who I&#8217;d met just the previous weekend, a friend of Raymond&#8217;s friend Randy. (Raymond just knows him as an acquaintance, I think.) His name is Eric Roberts, like the actor. He&#8217;s 26, good-looking, with auburn hair and a very nice guy. We basically wound up spending most of the weekend together. <\/p>\n<p>It started on Friday as though it was just going to be a hook-up. We went to his place &mdash; actually the place where he&#8217;s pet-sitting. When I told him about my HIV status, though, he kind of put the brakes on. He&#8217;s had a lot of loss in his life lately (mainly his father having a massive stroke), and it seems like he wants to avoid any more grief. But he decided to think about it, and we actually went out on a date last night, Saturday. We went to see <i>Planet of the Apes.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The movie was ridiculous, but the date was nice. He still seems a little skittish, and he did kind of back out of getting together this afternoon for a little picnic in the park sort of thing.
