At least as far as &#8216;relationship,&#8217; in the sense of friendship is concerned.<\/p>\n<p>I ran into him on Thursday at JR&#8217;s, and again, he seemed very happy to see me. In fact, I think I lifted his mood a bit; he was on his way out the door when we ran into each other, and not only did he hang with Beauyn and myself until the end of Happy Hour, but he accepted our invitation to join us for dinner.<\/p>\n<p>He also answered the question that had floating at the back of my mind concerning why he hadn&#8217;t returned a call I&#8217;d left on his voice mail about a week after I last saw him. When we were together, we discovered we&#8217;re both addicted to the show <i>Six Feet Under,<\/i> and I&#8217;d left a message right after I saw the Season Finale, saying how terrific I thought it was. He never called me back, so I kind of took that as a sign to cool it.<\/p>\n<p>But when I saw him on Thursday, one of the first things he asked me was why my fax machine keeps answering my phone. Apparently, he&#8217;d returned my call using the number on his Caller ID. I explained to him that I use my fax line for outgoing local calls, and my wireless number for all incoming calls; and I made sure he has the wireless number.<\/p>\n<p>And yesterday, he emailed me from work about some personal stuff, then we chatted on the phone later in the evening. So I guess it&#8217;s fair to say new life has been breathed back into our friendship, which I feel great about.
