Another NLGJA Convention Success
I just wanted to make a brief note that had a great time last weekend at the NLGJA National Convention in Dallas.
All my responsibilities (a panel and two movie screenings) went off without a hitch, although the panel could have been a little better attended. We’ve brainstormed a better panel for next year, though.
And I got a chance to hang out with most, if not all, of my old NLGJA friends, and I even made a new pal, Ryan Butler. He’s the 22-year-old filmmaker who’s work, A Union in Wait, we screened on the first night of the convention. He’s a TV nerd like me, so we kind of bonded even though we’re 17 years apart in age. He recently moved to the DC area, so I took him out last night and showed him a few of our less icky local gay bars. Great guy.
